- I Tried To Run Away, But The protagonist Is Just Too Formidable
- Chapter 129 - Side Story 19
For a moment, Han-Seo had forgotten, but even as he thought about it again, it was an incredible statement. The combination of Secretary Choi and Eun-Ah? It was a combination he had never once imagined.
As he thought about it, Han-Seo wondered if perhaps he secretly hoped the two of them would get together. After all, in the dream, they appeared as lovers, and the way they looked together seemed to fit so well.
“I really hope you two work out.”
“Ah, thank you. Actually, I think I’ll have some good news for you soon…”
Was the good news she was talking about… marriage? Setting aside how well they fit together, the pace was so fast it was almost as quick as lightning. It felt awkward, and Han-Seo couldn’t hold back his laughter.
He had to face Eun-Ah again after laughing right after hearing Secretary Choi’s words. Han-Seo had no idea how difficult it had been to soothe and calm down the picky Eun-Ah even in the dream.
“Wow, this is crazy. It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long, but I feel like my soul has left my body.”
“You’ve worked hard, Han-Seo.”
“Hyung worked even harder. In many ways?”
“…You, really.”
“Sorry, sorry. I just couldn’t help teasing you. When else would I see you so flustered like that?”
In the past few months, Han-Seo had struggled a lot with his heavy body and emotional ups and downs due to the pregnancy. Even going out required a lot of mental preparation, and his body wasn’t cooperating. For someone like Han-Seo, a natural extrovert, it felt like poison.
That’s probably why he had immersed himself even more in books. It was the best way to experience and enjoy the wide world, even if only in his imagination.
And this came to him in the form of dreams, right? He got to see the faces of the cute babies before even seeing their ultrasound photos, and he witnessed a surprisingly fitting combination. Not to mention, there was his adorable tiger-eared husband.
This dream had reminded Han-Seo of his rich imagination.
“Wow, we’ve taken so many pictures. Should we move the photo room to a bigger space?”
“There’s no need for that. We can’t even take them with us anyway.”
There was one thing Han-Seo regretted. During the past few days in the dream, he had taken countless pictures of the babies and Tae-Jeong with his ears and tail, but he couldn’t bring any of it into the real world.
If only he had learned how to draw earlier, he thought. When he woke up, he could’ve transferred the memories into drawings before they faded away. Of course, his current skills weren’t anywhere near enough to do that.
As the dream began to fade, the vivid scenes blurred like clouds, and Han-Seo could faintly hear Tae-Jeong’s voice saying it was time to eat. It was almost certain now.
Ah, he hadn’t even had the chance to greet the babies in the dream yet.
He knew why Tae-Jeong was trying to wake him up for a meal. He’d heard that as a pregnant woman carrying twins, Han-Seo needed to make sure he got enough nutrients, or it could put a strain on his body. From Tae-Jeong’s perspective, there was no choice but to do it.
But knowing that, Han-Seo still couldn’t help but resent him today. He could’ve woken him up a little later, at least giving him time to say goodbye. His complaints, filled with regret, kept flowing toward him.
“Okay, okay. I’m sorry. Let’s just eat this and sleep. I won’t touch anything else.”
That tone sounded familiar. It was the same tone Tae-Jeong had used to soothe the babies in the dream. Han-Seo never imagined that Tae-Jeong’s words to soothe him in his half-asleep state would echo in his own voice.
Despite feeling sorry for Tae-Jeong, who had now become the one being nagged, Han-Seo was relieved by the promise that he wouldn’t be disturbed anymore. Whether or not the dream would continue was a mystery, though.
“Han-Seo. Yoo Han-Seo.”
“Huh? Huh?”
“You must be really tired. If you’re sleepy, should I let you go to your room to sleep now?”
Suddenly, the scene changed. His blurry vision cleared, and the familiar living room came into view. Han-Seo realized it was the same scene he had seen right before Tae-Jeong woke him up.
Han-Seo pinched his thigh again. As expected, he didn’t feel any pain. That meant this was still a dream.
“No! Where are the babies? Where are our little pups?”
“I put them to sleep in their room.”
“Can’t I go see them? I’ll be careful so I don’t wake them up.”
“Of course you can.”
Han-Seo grabbed Tae-Jeong’s hand, and together they entered the babies’ room. There, he could see the little furballs, now back to their puppy forms.
“It’s a shame. I wanted to see them in their human forms too.”
“What’s so disappointing? You’ll see them every day soon enough.”
Though he thought that seeing them like this was better than nothing, Han-Seo couldn’t help but mutter about his regret. Tae-Jeong kindly replied, but his tone had changed, and Han-Seo raised his head slightly to look at him.
“Huh?”
“You’ll see them every day soon enough, so don’t be sad. Don’t be upset just because you woke up from a dream.”
Han-Seo raised both hands and covered his mouth. Even though he pinched himself again, he knew this was still the same dream. But how could Tae-Jeong act with a sense of self-awareness in this dream?
“Why? Did you think I didn’t know this was a dream?”
“Of course I did. It’s my dream. Why do you have your own self-awareness?”
“So what? Is that a problem? After all, this is the ‘ideal’ version you wanted, right? You were secretly hoping I’d notice, weren’t you?”
Han-Seo took a step back, surprised by the accuracy of Tae-Jeong’s words. The truth was, ever since his belly had started growing, he’d been wanting to fulfill his sexual desires, even if only in a dream.
But still, could a person change this much in an instant? Especially in a room where the babies were sleeping.
“Why? Is it the location that’s bothering you?”
With just a gesture, Tae-Jeong changed the scene in an instant to their bedroom.
At least he had said goodbye to the babies, so it wasn’t all bad, but adjusting to the sudden genre change in the dream’s content was tough. And with that, came the added embarrassment.
“…If this happens, I really look like a trashy person. After all, this is exactly the kind of dream my instincts wanted.”
“So what? If you don’t say anything, no one will know.”
The person in front of Han-Seo was definitely not the Tae-Jeong he knew. More precisely, it would be one of his own selves, a version of himself following Tae-Jeong’s appearance.
Even though Han-Seo clearly recognized this, the problem was that he was still getting excited. All they had done so far was change the location to the bedroom and exchange a few words, but his heart was racing, and he could feel the heat rising in his body.
“Then, you must know what I want right now, don’t you?”
“Probably.”
“What do you think I want?”
“Maybe you want to touch this?”
Tae-Jeong’s ears perked up above his head. Han-Seo hadn’t even thought about touching them before, not when Eun-Ah’s family had barged in at the perfect time. Later, he’d even felt a bit regretful about that, but now, Tae-Jeong’s long tail had wrapped around Han-Seo’s waist.
“…A-are you really going to do this? Didn’t you say it’s better to avoid sex during late pregnancy?”
“Did you forget? This is a dream, Han-Seo.”
Habitually, Han-Seo placed his hands on his belly and realized once again that this was still a dream. At the same time, a sinister desire began to creep up inside him.
He had hesitated until now because they were in front of the babies, and because of the pregnancy, he had been cautious. But according to Tae-Jeong, this was a dream. Unless he shared the details, no one would know about it.
So, wasn’t it okay? Han-Seo felt terribly guilty about this, especially toward the real Tae-Jeong, but he was almost at his limit.
‘They say the early stages are dangerous…’
It wasn’t okay because it was still the early stage.
‘I haven’t been able to eat much because of morning sickness lately… I’ve been told not to overdo it…’
During the stabilization period, it wasn’t okay because of morning sickness.
‘We’re almost there. Just a little more, and when the babies are born safely, I won’t have to hold back anymore…’
Tae-Jeong had said to wait until the end, to hold back since it was almost over. Han-Seo had already been rejected several times by him, and now, he couldn’t help but struggle with this dilemma.
Perhaps the reason why he was having these desires and even dreaming about them was due to Tae-Jeong’s absurd patience.
Han-Seo tightly gripped the long tiger tail wrapped around his waist.
“Fine. I’ll just satisfy my desires in this dream. I’ll hold out until our babies are born beautifully.”
